Sharing & Embedding

Every board gets a unique public URL. Share it as a link, embed it on your website, or display it on a TV. Viewers see live updates with no login required.

Sharing via link

The simplest way to share your board. From your dashboard, click Public View on any board to open its public page. Copy the URL and share it anywhere:

• Paste it in Slack, Teams, Discord, or any group chat
• Email it to participants or stakeholders
• Post it on social media
• Add it to a calendar invite or event page

Anyone with the link can view the board. They don't need a MakeTheBoard account.

Displaying on a TV or projector

Open the public link in any browser on your display device. The board is responsive and scales to fill the screen. Tips:

• Use fullscreen mode (F11 in most browsers) for the cleanest display.
• The board updates automatically. No need to touch the TV after setup.
• Update scores from your phone or laptop while the TV shows the live board.
• Works with smart TVs, Chromecast, Apple TV, Fire Stick, or any HDMI-connected device with a browser.

Embedding on a website

Team plan users can embed any board on their website using an iframe. The embedded board is fully interactive and updates in real time.

Replace your-board-slug with your board's slug from the public URL (the part after /b/). Adjust the height to fit your page layout.

Embed tips

• Use width="100%" for responsive sizing.
• A height of 500–800px works well for most boards.
• Works on any website, blog, WordPress, Squarespace, Notion, or LMS.
• The embed respects your board's theme and colors.

QR codes

Generate a QR code from your board's public URL using any free QR code generator. Print it on posters, handouts, or event signage so people can pull up the board on their phones instantly.
